Are you 15 or 16 years old and in Grade 9 or 10?
Our Counsellor In Training (CIT) Program is a Camp Leadership Program. It is for youth who like working with children and want to learn leadership skills that they can use in a camp setting and in their community. This program has evolved over time and there is a significant change in the program delivery this year. The August program will take place over 3 camp sessions. It will be offered in July and August. The July program will take place for 3 consecutive camp sessions. It will be offered in July and August. The CIT July Cohort will take place during Open Age 1(July 7-12), All Girls(July 14-19) & Open Age 2(July 21-26). The CIT August Cohort will take place during Open Age 3(July 28 - Aug 2), Youth Camp(Aug 11-16) & Open Age 4(Aug 18-23). CITs will arrive each Sunday at 7pm and depart each Friday at 3pm. WHAT IS THE TIER PAYMENT PROGRAM?
We realize that families have different abilities to pay; Kenesserie Camp offers a voluntary three tier payment program. You may choose the tier that is most suitable for your family. The Tier System allows us to continue to offer our same low fees for summer camp, while letting everyone know the true cost of camp and how to help support camp for the future. You may choose the tier that is most suitable for your family.
• Tier III is our historically subsidized rate and does not reflect the true cost of operating summer camp programs.
• Tier II is our partially subsidized fee for those who can pay a little more but still can not afford the actual cost of camp.
• Tier I more closely accounts for the true costs of camp including wear and tear of buildings and grounds.
This program is voluntary and in no way influences the experience children receive, yet it offers the opportunity for families to take an active role in supporting the true cost of their child’s camp experience. Our goal is to provide each camper with a positive and lasting camp experience. If your current circumstances makes Tier III unaffordable please reach out to us to talk about other forms of assistance.
