Welcome to Kenesserie Camp!
The first two weeks of camp this summer have been amazing. I love seeing campers have fun and build relationships with each other and with the natural world around them. It is great to see campers involved in the games and campfires, dressing up for theme dinner, and cooling off in the pool.
I believe in the importance of camp and the difference it can make in people's lives. We live in a world that is increasingly electronic. Children these days spend an average of 5-6 hours a day with some sort of technology (TV, computers, video games, etc.). Camp is one avenue with which children, teens and families can stay connected with nature. At camp, children spend all day building friendships and having fun in nature through games and activities that they do in small and large groups. I have witness life-long friendships established at camp. Kenesserie is committed to campers and hopes to give them many opportunities for self-discovery and exploration of the natural world.
