It is hard to believe that Christmas is just around the corner.  It seems like just yesterday that it was summer and the camp was full of campers laughing and playing.  And now we are busy with Christmas parties, holiday festivities and of course trying to find the perfect gift for the people we love.

Have you thought about giving the gift of camp to that special child in your life?  It could be a gift that lasts a lifetime.  Camp provides a child-centered environment where the hurry, stress and demands of modern life are almost totally eliminated.  I know from personal experience that camp friends can last a lifetime.  Being part of cabin group can help teach co-operation and teamwork.  And of course camp is FUN!   

If you are looking for something to put under the tree, you might consider contacting the camp and buying a camp cook book.  You and your camper can experiment and discover your favourite recipes.  I love the Blonde Brownies on page 104! 

Christmas is a time for hope, peace, joy and love.  We remember the story of Jesus' birth and all that it promises.  I hope this holiday season finds all you Kenesserie campers, staff and alum filled with peace and joy as you spend time with the ones you love!
